We want to thank our planning committee, especially the self-advocates who helped organize this event. Your hard work, ideas, and leadership made the race possible.
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped on race day! You showed up because you care about inclusion, accessibility, and supporting self-advocates — and that matters.
We’re also very grateful to the businesses and organizations who supported this event in so many ways — by donating prizes, sponsoring the race, sharing space, or offering behind-the-scenes help. Thank you for standing with us and showing that inclusion matters in our community.
And a special thank you to the teams who signed up and took part in the race. You made a big impact by learning, working together, and helping raise awareness about inclusion and accessibility.
ABOUT THE EVENT
This annual event raises awareness about the barriers to inclusion faced by many people in Kamloops and nearby areas. Participants will have a hands-on experience, navigating the community to better understand some of the challenges faced by those with diverse abilities.
This opportunity aims to build empathy and understanding, providing insights for personal and work life. The main goal of this event is to encourage advocacy and inclusive practices, helping to create a more accessible community for everyone.
